Making Lite of noise measurement

Brüel & Kjær Sound & Vibration has released a lighter, simpler version of the popular PULSETM Multi-Analyser. Sound and vibration measurements are used extensively in the automotive, aerospace and consumer goods industries to develop quieter products both in response to customer requirements and also to meet increasing legal directives on noise emissions.

PULSE Lite's strength is its simplicity and it offers genuine ease of use. It is especially suitable for those applications where the full PULSE system capabilities are not required. The system enables instant measurement using pre-set configurations. Other measurement settings can be easily set up using the Setup and Display menus. Measurements can be made in the field or the laboratory and data can be processed at any location, with a PC connected to PULSE Lite. A key advantage of the system is that it can be upgraded to a more powerful PULSE solution at any time if measurement needs become more complex. This means that the existing hardware does not become obsolete, but forms part of the new system.
