LaserMike has acquired the assets and ongoing activities of PlastAdviser,
a leading manufacturer of gravimetric products and systems focused on
the extruded plastics industry. The product line is a natural extension
to Beta LaserMike's measurement and control systems for the wire and cable,
fibre optic and pipe, profile and tube markets. Gravimetric technology
involves the analysis of raw material mass in extrusion applications to
control consumption within defined specifications. PlastAdviser control
systems adjust diameter and wall thickness on all types of extruded products
to achieve material savings, quality improvement and increased throughput
for customers in the global plastics market.
